M. C. Escher has to be one of the most imaginative artists that ever lived. He has thought of the impossible and made it look possible. Not only has he made worlds look upside down, but side to side too.
There are lots of books about M. C. Escher containing his art and details on how he came to put some of the pictures together on paper.
Look closely at the art and see the minor detail he has put into his work. Figure out what pillar is going where on a structure. What set of stairs leads to which landing, and where a basic, almost mummified human is walking.
